Winchester PD 16-4305. 1st summons was 7/11. I spent eight hours at court only to find that I needed to return. A scheduled followup was made for 8/12 to pursue my accelarated rehabilitation for this summons. When I spoke with the prosecuter, I was told the officer was never contacted, and therefore, I would need to hang around to see the judge at 10AM, but would also have to schedule a 3rd appearance. My frustration lies in the fact that I used a personal day away from work to resolve this issue, and now have to schedule vacation time from work due to lack of follow through on my case on the prosecutor's end. How are these cases followed up on? Why wasn't I contacted ahead of time so as to minimize the inconvenience? It appears that there is a breakdown in the process that has now caused me to schedule excessive time away from my responsibilities and has added stress to my life. I have held up my end here, but feel I am not being treated as important, whether intentional or not. Please consider my complaint an opportunity to make a change. I got the feeling, that the prosecutor was unprepared for the day's cases and hopefully a sincere effort will be made to correct this going forward by isolating the cause of the breakdown. I am very disappointed with the court system.
