The BOA S was initiated in the year 1998 by the Dr. Chandra M Kumar and James Cook with the assistance of Dr Sue Bailey, Dr Narinder Dhariwal, Dr Mike Foley, Mr Dave Smerdon, etc. BOA S has the council of members like the Professor Peter Shah, Dr Shashi Vohra, Dr K Allman, etc who are supervising all the activities of BOA S in a well prospected manner.
Functions of BOA S
The prime goal of the British Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society is to assure that proper quality anesthesia care is offered to ophthalmic patients who are under cataract and other ophthalmic surgical treatment. The BOA S is committed to assuring that anesthesiologists, ophthalmologists, nurse anesthetists, etc are enhanced with the proper training and quality education which is important for the provision of the standard quality ophthalmic anesthesia services.
