Citgo is an American based supplementary organization of fuel and gasoline, established in the year 1910 and Citgo is dealing with the responsibilities of refining, transportation and marketing of petrochemicals, fuels, lubricants etc.
Citgo was initiated by an oil merchant Henry Latham Doherty with the name Cities Service Company and later it became Citgo. Cities Service Company was established with the intention to provide electricity and gas to the small communities. The company started a Pipeline and transported the gas to many destinations for easy and home-delivery to consumers. In 1931 the company launched the country's longest gas transportation arrangement with high pressure. This system was made up of 24 inch pipes measuring about one thousand miles carrying gas to Chicago, Illinois. from Amarillo, Texas.
