The company changed name to Interprovincial Pipeline Inc. in 1991 whereas in 1992, the company was acquired by Interprovincial Pipeline System Inc., who changes name to IPL energy Inc. in 1994 after they acquired Consumer Gas Company. Enbridge
bought the Sarnia Photovoltaic Power Plant in 2009 and expanded power capacity up to 80 MW.
