History
The company started its business as a computer repair shop where its founder Sim Wong Hoo first discovered add-on memory board for the
Apple II computer. The company manufactured 12 voice sound cards for
Ibm computer. Sound Blaster sound card was the first dedicated audio processing cards developed by the company which received good response from the masses. The company got its patent ZEN series to invent user interface for portable media players.
Intel Corporation entered into agreement with ZiiLABS Inc. Ltd to license certain technology in manufacturing of
