D.Y. patil medical college was established in 1996 which is situated in pimpri in pune in the state of Maharashtra and got its approval as the deemed to be university from the ministry of Human Resource Development and even from the Medical Council of india for award of mbbs degree. Even government of india on recommendation of university grants commission gave its approval within a period of some six years. The intake of the students in this college is 250 students in the mbbs course. The college has also got an international exposure since its mbbs course is also recognised by the Malaysian Government and malaysian medical council and the students of this college can also be appointed as the government doctors in malaysia. The college has the postgraduate course in the following disciplines as general surgery, ent, general medicine, pathology, anatomy, psychiatry, biochemistry and many more courses. It also conducts the superspeciality courses in the discipline of neurosurgery, urology and nephrology and even Ph.D is offered in all subjects.
