Hello, I recently filed a complaint with you about the deceptive billing practices of DIRECT TV. I talked to the president of AT and T about my DIRECT TV account and she told me I had wire protection on my account. When I told the president I should not have had wire protection on my account, she said it was put on when a technician came out to fix the wrong television that was de-activated. Without my knowing, DIRECT TV added the wire protection in April which added another 7. 99 dollars to my account monthly. When I found out in July, the president told me I signed for the protection when the technician came out, even though I thought I was signing for his service. This was an over-payment of almost fifty dollars. But because my signature was on the technician's service report, DIRECT TV informed me they will not refund me for a service I was not supposed to have. Also, DIRECT TV has positive, jingly ads on television about customers being upgraded and getting free service whenever a customer moves. I moved and all I got was a two-hundred dollar bill for new installation. Like I told the president of AT and T, I understand the need for compensation of services. What I do not understand is the misleading and dishonest billing system that is making it hard to budget. I am a senior citizen and my billing changed from a package I ordered to a promotion being over, to services included that I did not order, to a promotion that will end again soon. This is totally confusing and impossible to understand. Thank you, Peggy Jayne email: yvonneinhaiku@gmail.com.
