History
Hastings Insurance Services Limited (HISL) commenced operations in 1997 through the efforts of David Gundlach and Andrew Bowen, but after nine years in 2006, the insurance company was owned by Insurance Australia Group (IAG), an international insurance group. Eventuallyin February 2009, Hastings Insurance was buyout by its management and employees from Insurance Australia Group.
