History
On October 7, 1919, KLM was opened as Royal Dutch by Lieutenant Albert Plesman in The Hague, Netherlands and it was one of the world's first business airline companies. The first KLM flight flew on 17th May 1920 from Croydon Airport. The journey started form London to ended at Amsterdam. De Havilland DH-16 was the first aircraft of the airline which was used on lease and Jerry
Shaw was the pilot. Moreover, KLM's first intercontinental flight was started on the 1st October 1924.
