I am a life time NFL fan went to three super bowl was a season ticket holder for ten years until I retried and move FL. I also take all my Niece and Nephews to a NFL game each Years. IF THE NFL DOSE NOT SUSPEND COLIN KAEPERNICK FOR NOT STANDING DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM. I WILL STOP WATCHING THE NFL, CANCEL MY DIRECTV NFL PACKET AND NO LONGER BUY ANY NFL PRODUCTS.
8/27/2016 5:23:13 PM
So do you you standard in union forms ? While if you do why is that pos kapernick punking cops. I am a former military and I defeated his right to protest, but when he disrespected our policemen and our servicemen Iwill voice my opinion he needs to go I am very aware of the threats that hits us a moment notice you need to have control of your players because ofa moral because if this country is a target at all times when you devide us we will lose our focus on our patriotism which could be a national threat look at the bigger picture.
9/2/2016 7:34:45 AM
As a NFL fan I am very disappointed with the 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his actions. For a role model and representative of the NFL he projects an image that does not fit your fine organization. To allow him to continue to disgrace his fellow teammates and loyal fans, leads me to believe that your organization approves and condones his actions. What a sad day for America, and the brave soldiers who fought and died to give him the right to do so. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
9/2/2016 10:19:31 PM
Mr.commissioner, I am contacting you about Mr. Kaepernicks refusing to stand for our National Anthem. As a Veteran I support his right not to stand. This should have been done on his time. When he decided to do this, he was on the NFL time. I take this as the NFL believes that all Police Officers are racists and hate black people. You allowed this and support this belief. I live in San Diego, Ca. The Chargers want to build a new stadium. I will not support the building of a new stadium to a organazation that hates cops and thinks all white people are racist.
9/4/2016 3:37:41 AM
Just turned on the Broncos/Panthers game that my 13 yr old son was SO looking forward to. Saw a Broncos player who decided to kneel for the anthem. My son said, "Dad, you can change this" and he walked out of the room UPSET. We are now boycotting. We choose to not witness this disrespect anymore. It appears that this is going to become more prevalent behavior since NO ONE is putting their foot down. You can fix this easily by setting a standard for ALL to follow. Or you can do nothing about it. Who do you offend by insisting that players respect the anthem? Who do you offend by doing nothing about it?
I am urging everyone I know to do something about this. In addition, will let the sponsors know how we feel. Thank You,
Dave Rumler .
9/9/2016 7:00:30 AM
Colin Kaapernick and Earl Reed should be severely disciplined for kneeling/sitting during the National Anthem. If they do not like America they need to find another country. This is not about Second Amendment rights. Rather, disrespect and lack of patriotism. True benefactors gift without fanfare. Not to promote media hype. Shame.
9/9/2016 9:26:22 AM
Mr.commissioner, As I believe in ones right to protest I do not agree that you should be allowed to do so at your job. If these players want to get involved join a public protest/March what ever, but you should be fired from your job if you do so at work. Shame on them and shame on you. As I have watched the NFL ever since I can remember come from a Football loving family I will no longer watch or buy any products until this is stopped. God Bless those who fight for our freedom and show them the respect that they deserve.
9/9/2016 7:34:49 PM
I'm not much of a complainer, but as a FootBall fan since I was in the crib and Proud American, I feel compelled to voice my complaint. You, being the man I charge of the NFL, how can you Stand by and let these teams protest, and for goodness sake of all things to protest, The National Anthem and disrespect our American Flag ? They are Americans arnt they ? As a fan, I have invested much of my time and money into the the Nfl, have great memories to boot. In fact my whole family is very upset over that's matter of protest. My family comes from a long line of military background for many generations and in pretty sure these boys lost there American pride. Please do not stand by and let this happen in Americas game, your the man that can stop all this disrespect Fine then, dismiss them, suspend them for the season This is a freedom of speech that has crossed the line of respect and pride. All this has No Place in Football. I'm sure there are plenty of great American, Red, White, and Blue, Proud ball players that can replace these UNAMERICAN BOYS, that call them selfs FootBall players. Please stop this before it brings the NFL. What are other Countries and people thinking when they see this. Bring that American Pride back. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint. Under your watch a fantastic game has deteriorated. You have allowed ridiculous displays of immaturity and ego to the point of a disease. Now the disease has turned into an epidemic. They've disrespected the game and now they're attacking our Flag I think it's time for the people to shut down the game of Football with empty seats Nothing is above America and the people who died for her.
9/10/2016 6:40:38 PM
I have never been so disappointed in the NFL than in the past few weeks. As a high school administrator I have football players that look up to the NFL players and what are they learning? What happened to having pride in our nation. What happened to respecting those that protect and serve. Overall in America all we are doing is making ourselves further divided instead of creating solutions together. That's a side note. But to not let the players honor those that were lost on 9/11 or the fallen officers in Dallas. Just a terrible thing and not a way to set a good example for our children.
9/12/2016 1:36:47 AM
Any Team that allows the players to Disrespect MY Flag and Country and the Coaches let them PLAY. I will Protest by NOT WATCHING. I will Gain Support from All the Bar Owners and Customers I Know and we will Tune OUT The Game. No Matter What Team. Especially the 49ers. He has a point, but Disrespecting My Country and Flag is Not the Place. He's suppose to be a Role Model. And I am Sad that this wasn't Handeled Better from the Very Start. Shame on YOU. Johny Thompson Sgt. USMC.
9/12/2016 7:27:55 PM
Mr.commissioner,
If you actually read these things. I have been an NFL/NY Giants fan my entire life. I have bought and been given tickets to games. I purchase Jerseys, hats, flags, banners, etc. Every year. I spend every Sunday, Monday night and Thursday watching games. A huge supporter Until now. How can you allow your players to kneel during our National Anthem? That is a disgrace and is so disrespectful to every American citizen, every soldier past, present and future. Players have the right to support any cause they wish to. Not during the national anthem
Where would half these players be if the NFL did not provide such a lucrative career for them? Nowhere they'd be nothing more then another statistic. And nobody would give a rats behind what they said or supported. STAND SUPPORT RESPECT HONOR. Do these words mean anything anymore?
I can tell you this right now. If the NFL continues to allow its players to disrespect the National Anthem and The United States of America. I WILL NO LONGER SUPPORT THE NFL. I WILL STOP WATCHING/STOP BUYING TICKETS/STOP PURCHASING MERCHANDISE. GROW A PAIR RUN YOUR ORGANIZATION.
9/12/2016 7:32:11 PM
Good morning Mr. Goodell-
I realize that you will not take this seriously, because it is just one family-, but we are done with the NFL. After seeing the dis respectful of the players on the 15th anniversary of September 11th attacks- we, my family, realize that it's just not worth watching spoiled athletes. Do I understand the concept of "free speech"- I do. As I, my husband, two of my children and my son-in-law are all veterans or currently serving in the US military. I also realize there are consequences for actions. Our action is to no longer watch- Mondays, Thursdays or Sundays. As we are a family of the Houston Texans, it is too bad-, but as we have all sacrificed our time and bodies for this country- turning a channel a few days a week will be easy in comparison. Sincerely-
Michele O'hearn .
9/12/2016 8:18:08 PM
Why is the NFL not reprimanding the players for choosing to not stand during the national anthem? This IS the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, right? All these players are doing is lighting a fire under an already boiling pot of water. They have no way to control the spill over and this will trickle down into the rest of society. We do not need a bunch of highschoolers thinking it's OK b/c the pro's are doing it. BE the solution, not part of the problem. These guys need to know that there are 1000 other guys willing to stand for that flag and play in their spots. NFL football will not be supported in this house, until something changes. I am disgusted with it all. They are not role models. I do not want my boys to learn disrespect for a country I serve.
9/13/2016 5:30:32 AM
Mr.commissioner, if the actions of the unpatriotic players, of which is growing weekly, continues, me and many other of my friends who have been watching professional football all our lives, will immediately turn off the game. We will no longer support this league that supports this disgraceful behavior. I completely support an individuals right to protest, but what is going to far? Will you condone them pulling down their pants, giving the middle finger, spitting on Law Enforcement Officers serving on the sidelines? When will it end. You need to take action. It's your league they are using to air their misguided "protest". As soon as it happens again, we will turn off the game and just have to resolve ourselves to the fact, the league cares more about a few idiot, and yes I mean IDIOTS, than the fans who support the league. Sad state of affairs when it has come to this. Mr.commissioner, stop this disgraceful behavior. NOW PLEASE.
9/13/2016 7:39:33 AM
A player not standing for the National Anthem IS UNPATRIOTIC regardless of why or what message he is trying to give. He needs to choose a different VENUE. Either STOP playing the National Anthem or bench the player. Stop giving a few players a national stage to protest. Take a good look at their contracts and find a way to bench them before this gets out of hand. I am an American, a decorated and disabled Viet Nam Veteran and it sickens me to see such behavior. I turned off the Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday Night Games. I will not watch a game with a player sitting or kneeling during the National Anthem. Chasstra@gmail.com.
9/14/2016 2:13:27 AM
I was brought up to respect our Country, where my dad, brother and husband served to allow us our freedoms. I was also taught to be respectful to all people. I cannot believe a man in your position would allow players to be So disrespectful on the football field These guys are being paid millions and our children look up to them as heroes. If they can accept that outrageous salary they are getting paid, but can not stand up and put their hand over their heart for our National Anthem, then they should be taken off the team. Don't wear socks calling policemen pigs when they are putting their lives in danger to protect you and your family. You, as a leader should do something about this and if not, then you need to step down yourself. It seems you agree with them, so you do not value our Country either. Don't like it here, leave I'm a proud American from a family that taught me values and I know it doesn't matter, but I do not have to watch these games. People should boycott them.
9/14/2016 6:27:05 AM
I have been looking forward to this season of football for a very long time. However, after seeing how the NFL has done nothing to punish the players who directly and intentionally disrespect those who have died for our country, I have sadly decided that I will NOT be watching NFL football this season. You have suspended players for things far more trivial, so this is obviously a conscious decision on Managements part. I hope you feel the financial loss of your inaction.
9/14/2016 4:57:34 PM
Roger Goodell, More and more you show your lack of patriotism by your actions. To not allow an Ad asking people to stand for The National Anthem reveals your disdain for our United Stated, it's armed service members, it's law enforcement officers and it's citizens. It is my hope that, 1. You lose your job, and 2. That the nfl folds completely, because your ignorance and lack of leadership. I hope the Stupidbowl has it's lowest viewership ever. You sir can rot.
1/23/2018 12:37:33 PM
I AM APPALLED THE YOU AND YOUR SORRY ORGANIZATION HAVE CHOSEN TO SENSOR THE VETERANS ADD FOR THE SUPERBOWL. YOU CLAIM THAT YOU AREN'T ABOUT ADVERTISING AND POLITICAL VIEWPOINTS. WHAT A HYPOCRITE. WHAT DO YOU CALL THE KNEELING DURING OUR NATION'S ANTHEM? THOSE SORRY LITTLE CRY BABY PLAYERS ARE USING THE PLATFORM AS A POLITICAL STAND. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE VETERANS ARE PAYING FOR THE RIGHT TO ASK PEOPLE TO STAND WHEREAS YOUR SORRY LITTLE CRY BABY PLAYERS ARE BEING PAID TO ACT LIKE HORSES BUTTS. YOU SPEAK OF ADVERTISING, WHAT ABOUT THE ABUNDANT DOLLARS YOU RECEIVE TO NAME THE SPOILED LITTLE CRY BABY'S HOUSE FOR COMPANIES LIKE MERCEDES BENZ. NO ADVERTISING THERE. YOU STATE THAT THIS IS A DAY TO CELEBRATE THE GAME, THE TEAMS AND THE PLAYERS. I SURELY DON'T WANT TO CELEBRATE AND GAME OR ANY TEAM THAT CONDONES THE SELFISH BRATS THAT HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE COUNTRY THAT AFFORDS THEM THEIR LUCRATIVE CAREERS. IT IS A SHAME WHERE A PLAYER WHO CHOOSES TO STAND FOR HIS COUNTRIES NATIONAL ANTHEM IS RIDICULED. THAT'S OK. BUT FAR BE IT FROM ANYONE TO SLIGHT THE LOW LIFE CRY BABIES WHO CHOSE TO DISRESPECT THIS COUNTRY. I HAVE STOPPED WATCHING AND ATTENDING THE NFL GAMES. I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU, YOUR ORGANIZATION, NOR THE SAD LITTLE CRY BABIES THE PLAY THE GAME. YOU, YOUR ORGANIZATION, AND THE SAD LITTLE CRY BABIES MAKE ME PHYSICALLY ILL.
1/26/2018 1:14:35 PM
I am 67 years old and a veteran. Have been an NFL fan my entire life. Did not watch one game last season. My friends did not either. Also I will not buy anything NFL. This year if the players continue to disrespect the anthem by not coming on the field, raising fists or kneeling. Myself and my friends along with as many as we can convince to not watch or buy anything NFL. I watch football for entertainment, life long fan. I do not appreciate some ones political views being interjected into my entertainment. If players have a view they wish to express do it on their own time. I feel their actions on the field are totally disrespectful to every current service member in uniform and any prior person who served their country honorably.

Hello, this is not a complaint, but a request for information. Can you please tell me how to get my son declared for The NFL Pro League. His name is Ebone' Marcel Marquis Caldwell, "(Marquis)" is the name he goes by. You can see all of his information on this website. With what you liberal, God hating people are doing to good God Loving Players, I will NOT BE WATCHING another of your football games until you change the CRIMINAL acts you people are doing If Kaperneck can disrespect all Police and Military with his disrespect of out Nation and the sacrafices made at home and in the world of our patrioets during the National Anthem and you people saying that is his freedom of speach, then why do you people fine New Orleans Saints player Demario Davis for his Man Of God Head Band You are just a bunch of thugs wanting to end the NFL and with things like this happening, you will be victorious and end the NFL Just FYI, I am keeping up with the companies they advertise with the NFL and letting them know how I feel about this Injustice My spelling lacks, but you know what I mean and I will be letting everyone I know how I feel about the NFL's Un-Americian position.
10/5/2019 6:28:08 PM
It is unacceptable the amount of calls the referees are getting wrong. Penalties that change the outcome of the outcome of the game should be reviewable. It was undisputable looking at the replays that not one, but both the hands to the face call was WRONG. The Lions may have lost anyway, so why keep them down with all the incorrect calls that are happening? THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
10/14/2019 8:28:03 PM
Dear Mr. Goodell,
Something has to be done to set some guidelines as to what constitutes "Pass Interference". The officials are not only not on the same page, they are not even in the same book. The players, coaches and fans are oblivious to the rule and there is no clear understanding of what the officials should and shouldn't call. I have been a football fan since the early 60's, growing up in Baltimore with Johnny Unitas and the Colts. I think I have a pretty good idea of what is and is not pass interference. I have seen plays this season where the receiver was totally molested by the defender with no pass interference called, and the coaches challenge denied. And, I have seen plays where there was barely any contact and pass interference called. I just finished watching the game between the Giants and Cowboys, which I am not a fan of either team, but the pass interference call in the 4th quarter on the defender covering Cooper was clearly a non-call, but pass interference was called for a 40+ yard gain. This led to a Dallas TD which was a total game changer. The inconsistent pass interference play calling is lending to the perception of team bias. After the non-call in the playoff game between the Rams and Saints last year, I thought the rule would be more clearly defined. If anything, the play calling has become worse and less consistent.
11/4/2019 9:06:39 PM
I am VERY angry How dare you suspend Myles Garrett and do nothing to Mason Rudolph I am not condoning what Garrett did, however it is clear that Rudolph was trying to remove Garrett's helmet Rudolph continued to pursue Garrett, he started and continued the melee There is certainly enough blame to go around, and Rudolph clearly has some culpability in this incident. Dare I play the race card? It very interesting to me that this lily white boy, who spent much of the game on his back, gets off with no repercussions, despite his obvious involvement.
11/17/2019 9:25:05 AM
I sent a letter after all was said and done after the Super Bowl last year. I voiced my concern along with millions of other fans on the ridiculous, unfair, and obvious officiating mistakes being held during most NFL games. I can see now that the NFL is not taking this seriously. Opening Kansas City vs. Raiders game where Andy Reid wanted a review over the obvious pass interference and the refs called fair. SHAME ON YOU IN NY FOR LETTING THAT GO. I stopped watching the "cheating" Patriots. You obviously let them get by with everything. Why do not you do something unique and let these games be played----FAIRLY. I'm tired of watching teams win who you obviously support more than others. As in all letters like this I understand you probably won't answer me. Why? Because you know the fans are right.
12/1/2019 2:08:52 PM
The officiating of the Patriots / Chiefs game on Dec eight was atrocious
1. The Kelsi fumble ruled down by contact should have been a Patriots touchdown - no review
2. Harry was clearly not out out of bounds, but no review
Either the officiating crew is BLIND or they were bribed
No one could be that bad
Hard to watch lately - my god, is that the best you can get.

After numerous messages and no return calls. I want to discuss this Michael Vick crap of being Pro Bowel Captain Now just so you know I DO watch pro football, Browns, so I am loyal to the NFL But I am also an animal activist, and when Vick got caught for dog fighting and all the inhumane things he did I can not even begin to tell you the outrage I felt. Well time went by and I forgot about it, then you bring him back in and give HIM and honor, well why don[t you rub all the evil and cruelty in my face My God, do not you have feelings, I do not know if you have kids or grandkids, but the gruesome pictures being posted on line is not fit for me to look at, let alone a child or a teenager. You know now a days the teenager see and hear horrible things and their getting the wrong ideas. I really beg of you to PLEASE do not give this barbarian an honor, he does not deserve it I do not care if he did time and donated money, etc. To suddenly act like an animal lover He only wants to save his ass, the people in prison feed the parole panel a line of crap to get out. Vick is NO different, and you are letting him con you into believing he is a different person. Charles Manson tortured small animals If you go thru with this, well all I can say is shame on you and the entire NFL.

When the NFL started allowing players there nonsense of political correctness, Kappernick kneeling during our sacred National Anthem. And starting it among our youth and all across the nation. Dismissing player attitude, action and behavior towards our President of the United States. I took a vow to never watch another NFL game again. I did start to watch the pre show and I have felt a need to express a very heartfelt gratitude for the display of patriotism for our flag. With the Johnny Cash Song. And to have those vets being honored for there medals. And letting the Red Tail Tuskegee Air Corp. Be a part of the coin tossing ceremoney. It brought tears to my eyes. I will now revoke my oath of never watching another pro game. But I will hold the right to reinstate that oath if the shenanigan's ever get out of hand again. I thank you for kicking Kapernick out of the NFL once and for all. These players are employees and have no right to take the amount of money they do and then create the contention and disgust they have. Under no circumstances should they be allowed while in season to demonstrate their views while on public Television. They are the leaders of Americas youth. And should be leading them with a love of their country, and teaching them the voice of the people have spoken. Who they voted in office and to respect not only the President, but police officers, our veteran's, principles, school teachers, and above all else their parents. These men should be teaching them the day will come. When they will grow up and can call the road their own until then respect authority. The bulk of the nation shares these views whether or not you want to believe it. Again I thank you for the beautiful rendition honoring our flag and veteran's well done, very, very well done. Sincerely
Dave Burch .

I think Tom Brady has to be knocked of his Trojan Horse. He is too upon himself and is not doing anything to help the NFL. I have been told that fans are not happy that Rodger is not doing anything about it This guy is not going to make the NFL any better unless his head gats big enough to explode.
4/27/2020 11:24:00 AM
Please, Sir, Mr. Roger Goodell, please consider just not having the "Star Spangled Banner" song
and the flag raising before each football game. The tradition started so long ago and on just
a whim and it makes no sense to me to mix War sentiments with patriotic sentiments and
mix that up with playing FOOTBALL I just love the game. It should not be a platform of pitting
Americans against Americans. Why not just play football? Why not just watch football?
I am an American born and raised on a farm in Iowa. When my brothers played football in
high school, I posed the question, "why can´t girls play football?" Why not simply play ball. That is why you make gazillions of dollars. It is for the love of the game of football. Please don´t mess up the league and lose the privilege of having a league by interlacing sports
with politics. Amen and Amen. Linda Kay Kooima, R. N., B. A.

We didn't watch NFL from the first time Kaepernick kneeled in protest of the flag. This January, we thought that was all behind us, but your wanting to hire Kaepernick back is the straw that broke the camels back. We are done with NFL for good. Does Drew not have a right to his opinion? And, all the thugs rioting and destroying anything in their path are the ones your are catering to? How many of them can afford to go to a game or buy all the memorabilia? There used to a thing called "Freedom of Speech". I support Kaepernick's right to kneel, but he should support my right to never watch another NFL game again. Are you an American? Have you forgotten all the men and women that died for us to be free?.
6/7/2020 10:09:45 AM
This is a complaint for future kneeling by players. Kneeling at a football stadium means hate for the Anthem as the fans sing it. Kneeling at a football stadium means hate for the flag as the fans salute it. Kneeling at a football game means disrespecting the fans. Kneeling at a football game does not mean an issue a player makes up in his mind.
6/7/2020 10:14:16 AM
there are 24 hours in a day, 365 days a year. Please ask your protestors to do so before a game, after a game or even between quarters. NOT DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM WHEN THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS BOTH BLACK AND WHITE ARE SOLUTING THE FLAG. Thank you.
6/8/2020 4:30:53 PM
PLEASEPass this to the commissioner or president of NFL PLEASE
To whom it may concern: there is a simple way to fix the problem of putting a knee down at the games to protest. There is no problem with freedom of speech or your protest, Malcolm Jennings said we didn't understand, that is not true. The problem is when this is done is WRONG
My brother almost lost his life in Vietnam, he servered our country and stood for our flag, knealing during the anthem and pledge allegiance is a disgrace to America and our flag and like mixing berries with beans. Why can not they kneel when they first come on the field, or half time, on a red velvet stool if you want, JUST NOT DURING THE TIME TO RESPECT OUR COUNTRY AND FLAG. This is a simple solution, and common senses. The crowd happy, players happy and a better example to the young people growing up and not showing hate. I hope this gets to someone important, Thank you
An old lady who still believes in our
country, Codi Larson .

After 60 years of enjoying the NFL product, this the end for me, I can no longer enjoy the games with the caliber of officials working the games, It is one thing to miss a call, no see everything, however the holding calls being called are bull$@0, Before an official only called what he SAW, not what he thinks happened, these holding calls in most games by the linemen are bull$%@, then the hold and grab by defensive backs are invisible to them, Sorry I can no longer watch your game, .

THE OVERTIME RULE NEEDS TO CHANGE. The way it is now, whoever wins the coin toss wins the game. That is not fair at ALL, both teams should have fair and equal advantage to win the game. The coin toss determines the game because the team that wins the toss they have first and ONLY advantage, not giving the other team a fair or equal chance win at ALL. To make it fair for both teams, it should be a 20 minute rule whoever is leading after 20 minutes wins the game. THE OVERTIME RULE NEEDS TO CHANGE.
