Akshardham is a Hindu Temple complex located at the Noida Mor, New Delhi, India. It was established on November 6, 2005 and is also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham or Delhi Akshardham. The building of the temple was developed by Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the center of the complex was constructed according to the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra. The complex consists of the large central temple made entirely of stone, musical fountain, large landscaped gardens and IMAX. It is the largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple of the world and the main monument located at the center of the complex is forty-three meter high, ninety-six meter wide and one-hundred and nine meter long. The monument is designed according to the ancient Vedic text, Sthapatya Shastra. The other features of the monument include more than two hundred carved pillars, nine domes, various statues of hunduism sadhus, acharyas and devotees, more than twenty-thousand murtis, Gajendra pith and more than one-hundred and forty scale sized elephants.
