University of Guelph Arboretum is Associated With and Known as:
The University of Guelph's Arboretum is situated at College Avenue East, Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It is a garden that was established in the year 1971 in old growth forests. The arboretum is spread in an area of about 410 acres. It is owned and maintained by the University of Guelph. The arboretum is mostly used for gardens, botanical collections and gene conservation programs. Professor Shelley Hunt is the director of the Guelph Arboretum. More than 73,500 visitors are visited Guelph Arboretum annually. It has a large collection of mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles and amphibians. There are approximately 1,700 different trees and shrubs in the Guelph Arboretum. Guelph has six features which are Frances Ball Rose Garden, Leslie Hancock Memorial Rhododendron Collection, The World of Trees and Dwarf Conifer Collection, Gosling Wildlife Gardens and The Wall Custance Memorial Forest, G Porter Memorial Japanese Garden and Edna and Frank C Miller English Garden. It is also a famous place for several events.
