Windsor Regional Hospital is Associated With and Known as:
Windsor Regional Hospital is a large hospital operating from two campuses Tayfour Campus and Metropoliton Campus in the City of Windsor. It serves the population of Essex and Windsor County. It was formed after the merger of Metropolitan General Hospital and Windsor Western Hospital Centre Inc., in the year 1994.
It provides surgical and acute medical services which includes Family Birthing, Paediatric Services, Neonatal Intensive Care, Emergency Services,, Cancer Services, Intensive Care Unit, Complex Continuing Care (Mobility and Healthy Ageing), Physical Rehablitation and Family Health Care (Addictions and Mental Health). The hospital has Windsor Regional Children's Centre that serves children and adoloscents and is housed in George A. Huot Building.
Tayfour Campus began operations in 1910 basically for tuberculosis patients. Expansion over the years included Annie R. Braid Building in year 1923, Alice F. Casgrain building in 1939, Osmond Building in 1966, the Community Psychiatric Building in 1968 and the Tower Building in 1971. A new mental health hospital Toldo Neurobehavioural Institute has been opened along with Dr. Fouad Tayfour Regional Rehabilitation Centre. The campus is located at 1453 Prince Road.
Metropolitan Campus commenced operations in 1928 and has basically focused on burns and cancer areas. It has included the following services / departments over the years:
1) Neo Plastic Services Department and Cancer Clinic in year 1935
2) EEG Services and Nuclear Medicine began in year 1959
2) Critical Care in the year 1983
3) HIV Care Programme in the year 1991
The campus is located at 1995 Lens Avenue.

The hospital has been awarded Canada Award for Excellence and Exemplary Status in the year 2012.
